West Alvington Church of England Academy has a Church of England religious character, which contributes to the ethos and values of the school community.

The school educates mixed pupils aged 2 to 11. It currently has 46 pupils on roll with space for 56, offering a broad curriculum across all primary year groups.

Ofsted last inspected the school on 3 March 2020, awarding it a Good rating. The report noted positive aspects of leadership, safeguarding and the school’s approach to pupil development.
