St Matthew's Church of England Primary and Nursery Academy has a Church of England religious character, which contributes to the ethos and values of the school community.

The school educates mixed pupils aged 3 to 11. It currently has 471 pupils on roll with space for 500, offering a broad curriculum across all primary year groups.
