Scissett Church of England Academy has a Church of England religious character, which contributes to the ethos and values of the school community.

The school educates mixed pupils aged 4 to 10. It currently has 172 pupils on roll with space for 186, offering a broad curriculum across all primary year groups.

Ofsted last inspected the school on 1 April 2025, awarding it a Outstanding rating. The report noted positive aspects of leadership, safeguarding and the school’s approach to pupil development.
