Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School, Shotton has a Roman Catholic religious character, which contributes to the ethos and values of the school community.

The school educates mixed pupils aged 4 to 11. It currently has 154 pupils on roll with space for 168, offering a broad curriculum across all primary year groups.

The most recent Ofsted inspection, published on 18 June 2024, rated the school Outstanding. Inspectors highlighted the overall quality of education and the strong relationships between staff and pupils.
