Orchards Church of England Academy has a Church of England religious character, which contributes to the ethos and values of the school community.

Ofsted last inspected the school on 19 November 2024, awarding it a Good rating. The report noted positive aspects of leadership, safeguarding and the school’s approach to pupil development.
