Bakewell CofE Infant School has a Church of England religious character, which contributes to the ethos and values of the school community.

The school educates mixed pupils aged 5 to 7. It currently has 27 pupils on roll with space for 120, offering a broad curriculum across all primary year groups.

Ofsted last inspected the school on 21 June 2023, awarding it a Good rating. The report noted positive aspects of leadership, safeguarding and the school’s approach to pupil development.
